Kids’ Shows, Back When They Were Good

17 Jan

Kids’ television shows have gone downhill since I was a kid in the 90s.

Here’s a brief list of shows from my childhood, in no particular order. Some are for really young kids, some are for slightly older. They’re largely educational (something modern kids’ TV shows lack) and entertaining.

Enjoy the trip down memory lane, and let me know what other great TV shows I don’t have here!

Mister Rogers

Reading Rainbow

The Magic School Bus

Pinky and the Brain

Bill Nye the Science Guy

Lamb Chops

Bobby’s World

Where in Time is Carmen San Diego?

The Puzzle Place (You can skip to 0:26)

Captain Planet

I remember some of those too! Magic School Bus is great and we still watch it around here 🙂 Barney I disagree with – I can’t stand him at all. Mr. Rogers, classic. I don’t know if you know this show – and it’s not on anymore – it’s circa 80s from Canada – “Today’s Special” It was fantastic!! We used to just LOVE that show! Jeff Hyslop and the rest of the cast were great. Just found some episodes online! Enjoy!!! Can’t wait to show the kids in the morning =) Mommy’s old favourite show! haha! ( Anyway, thanks for the trip 😉
