As if I don’t have enough shows on my plate right now (see my TV show list), I just started watching Downton Abbey.
Downton Abbey is a British television period drama series. It takes place in the early 1900s, in England. It’s interesting because, unlike most period dramas, the series delves into the lives of the servants as well as those of the Quality.
The cast is great and (as usual with British media) there are a number of familiar faces among them. Still, they occupy their roles singularly and are wholeheartedly believable as their respective characters.
I’m just three episodes in, and I won’t ruin it for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet, but suffice it to say I’m eager to continue watching it.
Have you seen Downton Abbey? No spoilers, please!
